Super Powers and Living Without Limits

As I mentioned last week, I am incredibly honored and excited to have had Stasha from North West Mommy give me the opportunity to choose this week’s listicle topic!

Here’s what I came up with:

#1 – list 10 things you really like about yourself, things you are good at, your super powers!
Or
#2 – You have 48 hours free of all responsibilities and unlimited cash, what 10 things would you do, places you’d go, etc.

I never could decide between the two topics so I’m going with combo list this week:

My 5 Super Powers (or just things I’m really good at)

1. Did you lose something because I’m like Indiana Jones; able to figure out clues, piece together maps and find anything and everything lost. ( Like keys, blankets, left shoes, small toys under the couch, hope for a better day…you get the idea.)

2. I can be a mental multi-tasking maniac. This is a double edged sword though because while my mind is at work all day, managing different mental lists, trying to resolve issues, figuring out bills and what I’m going to make for dinner tomorrow night, it can be very hard to shut down at night.

Sometimes I think I’d rather just be like Jean Grey and move things with my mind.

3. I also have a pretty good memory. In fact, my ability to remember song titles, lyrics, lines from movies and random entertainment information has landed me a few trivia wins in my time.

4. Writing is something I’ve loved to do since I was in grade school and I finally feel like I’m getting better at it and more comfortable with the process. Maybe this one isn’t a super power yet but someday…

5. Optimism. I always believe there is hope or a better way. All is almost never lost. And if it is, see #1 because I can probably find it!

5 Things I Would Do If I Could Live Without Limits
(I asked my husband to help out with this one, here’s what he came up with):

1. Buy Apple

2.

3. Profit

As usual, he made me laugh but I have to say, I really can’t argue with this kind of logic. Once you’ve bought Apple, this is no longer a fantasy scenario and you really could do just about anything else you wanted without worrying about too many limits regarding money or time.

Plus – free iPads!

Hope everyone has a great time with the lists, I know a lot of you have super powers and imagining 48 free and clear can be pretty fun as well. Can’t wait to read your lists!

    • Very true, I think all moms probably share most super powers :) Thanks so much Jen – I told my husband you liked his list as well!

  1. I could keep you permanently employed finding my lost things, starting with my three cel phones. LOL
Great topic, I had fun with it this week.

  2. And you can moonlight over at mine after you are done at Paul’s because I have a pile of sock in laundry room that need your immediate attention.
Love the topics and the lists. Please let me know when you take over Apple so I can get the friends and family discount!

    • Uh oh, you mean the socks that go in the washer as a pair but come out of the laundry alone? I have to grab my Indiana Jones hat for that one for sure! Thanks so much Stasha – your list was so awesome! As soon as my husband secures the Apple deal, we will be flying to Washington anyway so I’ll just bring along some free stuff for you then :) I should have known that would be his fantasy scenario!

    • Yes, I think it is possible. Slowing down, one thing at a time, much better idea but tough to do with little ones! Thanks so much for reading and I’m already thinking of how to do my list next week :)

    • Thanks so much Colleta, I’m glad you had fun with this one. Maybe I should have said unlimited time and money, I know 48 hours isn’t really that long :)

  3. I do wish I had that super power, the Indiana Jones’ one. I’ve just given up locating lost things, and just replace them only to find the original not soon after.

    • I do admit, a lot of times it seems like things are in plain site but the seekers don’t look very hard :) Thanks so much for reading Jackie!

  4. Buy Apple. Ha. It took me a while to get that one. If I did wow– would the whole world hate me. I’m afraid with my lack of computer-geekness the company would be doomed.

    • No worries at all, once you buy Apple, you just let the great minds keep working and reap the rewards :) Thanks so much Jamie!

  5. Hahaha! I loved these prompts for this week! I am so glad I’m not the only one that “invested” during this fake writing prompt exercise. Making money is fun-LOL

    • Haha! I remember that all too well (prego brain). Hope you’re feeling good! You’ll have that memory back in no time :)
